WME's Statement of Faith

Things We Most Surely Believe…

• We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God to man and is the infallible rule of faith and conduct.
  
  
• We believe there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
  
  
• We believe in the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, his virgin birth, his sinless life, his vicarious sufferings, his atoning death, his bodily resurrection, his glorious ascension, his abiding intercession, his imminent and personal return to translate the saints and those who sleep in Christ which is the blessed hope of the church, his millennial reign on earth, and his promise to create a new heavens and new earth.
  
  
• We believe man was created upright but fell by voluntary transgression and his only hope of redemption and salvation is by repentance and confession of faith in Jesus Christ the Son of God and regeneration by the Holy Spirit.
  
  
• We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling presence the Christian is enabled to live a sanctified life of righteousness and holiness which is the outward evidence of an inward grace.
  
  
• We believe in the resurrection of the saved unto eternal life and the finally impenitent unto eternal judgment.
  
  
• We believe in baptism by immersion by which a believer identifies himself with Christ in his death and resurrection, the Lord’s Supper, the assembly of believers on the first day of the week according to apostolic practice, divine healing as a provision of the atonement, and the baptism of the Holy Spirit with signs following.
  
  
• We believe in the spiritual unity of all believers in our Lord Jesus Christ and that the Church is the Body of Christ and the habitation of God by the Spirit with divine appointment for the fulfillment of her great commission such that the ministry of evangelism is the responsibility of both the church and each and every Christian.
