World Missionary Evangelism, Inc. began with a challenge to save children in need.

About 60 years ago, WME’s founder Dr. John Douglas, Sr. was ministering in India. A Hindu man asked Dr. Douglas whether he truly believed what he preached, and then he challenged Dr. Douglas to prove his faith by taking care of 7 orphaned children. Dr. Douglas embraced the challenge as a call from God to take responsibility for children no one else wanted. In doing so, he founded a mission that has saved and nurtured thousands of children in need.

Child Sponsorship is the only hope many desperate children have.

Thousands of children die every day from the lack of a few cents’ worth of medicine or food. These children are lost simply because they have not found someone who cares enough to send them the small gift that can give them another day of life. The purpose of sponsorship is to reach these children.
