Churches & Bibles
At World Missionary Evangelism, we recognize humanitarian projects are of little value if we do not minister to the eternal soul of man as well.
Jesus said, “FOR WHAT SHALL IT PROFIT A MAN, IF HE SHALL GAIN THE WHOLE WORLD AND LOSE HIS OWN SOUL?” (Mark 8:36) That is why WME attempts to place churches alongside humanitarian projects. We follow His call to go into the nations and share God’s message of salvation and restoration.
In developing nations, a church is a gathering place for an entire community.
Churches become focal points for their communities with doors that are often open daily. In many cases, a church becomes a center that provides childcare, a place for adult and child education, a site for gatherings and meetings, a feeding center, a shelter, and a beacon for Christ in places where many have never heard the name of Jesus.
It means so much to these Christians to have a place to gather for prayer, praise and worship. A church building is more than a symbol for them; it is the answer to a prayer and the foundation for a family of believers who lead others to salvation and to a better life.
In addition, there is a constant plea from the field to send more Bibles.
We hear it regularly from the ministers who work with us — PLEASE SEND MORE BIBLES, both for adults and for children. For the precious people we serve, receiving a copy of God’s Word in their native tongue is a treasured gift with an immeasurable impact.
If you want to help plant native churches and send Bibles that bring the Light of Jesus Christ into darkness, please contact WME about Churches & Bibles today.
